A safety lock protects the mould parting planes during transport and storage. The lock has a defined destruction zone that prevents damage to the mould and/or screws. If the lock is accidentally left on the mold, the press operator can easily see that the lock is broken and needs to be replaced. In other locks, this will result in broken screws that cannot be replaced in the mold on the press, which can be dangerous later after the mold is removed.
